Legacy Leaders will serve as empowered graduates (after 1st year) of the LEGACY Camp

As Legacy Leaders these young women will take the Classy Living Society volunteer orientation class learning all there is to introduce them to the Classy Living Society way of volunteering. This mandatory volunteer orientation will help support these young women as they step up and stand out among the Legacy for Change young girls and serve as teen role models for volunteering and growing into leadership. They will also learn more about the importance of community service and advocacy and giving back. Throughout the Legacy Leaders Program the following leadership opportunities will be available and at least some required to participate in the program.


Volunteer Leadership Positions include...

1. Social Media and Photo support at all Legacy Events

Capturing our events and program graduation is important. Legacy Leaders will serve as our primary photographers and help capture the important moments during all Legacy events/programs. These leaders will have responsibilities of promoting events and volunteer efforts on social media and how to draft emails/letters/news announcements regarding same. They will also help manage Legacy for Change social media and create the newsletter.

2. Teen Camp Leaders

We welcome all past graduates of the Legacy for Change Program to volunteer and serve as Teen Camp Leaders/Ambassadors. Our camp will require each teen graduates to volunteer as serve as the Teen Camp Leader for at least two camp activities/programs/events during the summer. Legacy Leaders are encouraged to give back and experience the impact each can make in teen leadership and development. Each Teen Camp Leader must be able to attend the entire week of camp.

3. Teen Managers for Legacy for Change Programs/Event Activities

Legacy Leaders will manage/leader youth volunteers during our gala/fundraisers, volunteer week, etiquette programs, health & wellness events, summer camp, and other special events we hold throughout the year.

4. Legacy for Change and Classy Living Society Office/Administrative Support

This is an opportunity to teach our Legacy Leaders data entry and working with Microsoft Suite products. This volunteer opportunity is perfect to create leadership through learning crucial office administrative functions/roles. There will be opportunities for volunteers to help out around the Classy Living Society/Legacy for Change offices (virtual and other). Duties may include sorting marketing material, research and writing, administration work, logistics, and data entry.

5. Team Building/Bonding

Engaging teens in team building exercises can help them better understand each other and the importance of...


Activities that focus on teamwork help teenagers to develop their social skills. They learn how to communicate their ideas and point of view, and how to cooperate with others to reach a goal.


Team building games that develop leadership qualities allow teens to take ownership of a task and see it through from start to finish. They learn how to manage resources, listen to input from other team members, and exercise their problem-solving skills.

Trust building

Team building activities that build trust are great for providing a channel for teenagers to connect with each other. It develops their interpersonal and communication skills.

Creative thinking

Group games that encourage creative thinking are great fun and perfect for teens. Give your group of teenagers an opportunity to imagine possibilities, execute their ideas and refine those ideas if they do not work. Annually one of the requirements for the Legacy Leaders is to develop/create, implement and produce (from implementation to completion) a team building project with sister Legacy Leaders. This is an event that will take place at the end of the programming year and will kick off the end of program celebration event. Each Team Building/Bonding event will kick off with a fun and fabulous Icebreaker Game. Team building sessions that start with ice breakers allow everyone to get to know each other better. Getting acquainted with teammates or sister Legacy Leaders can help foster camaraderie and a willingness to work together.

6. Classy Living Society Ambassadors

This is an opportunity for the Legacy Leaders who have become standouts and Shining Stars! These young women will have the opportunity to serve in volunteer and programming functions at Classy Living Society annual Red Dress Gala, during Volunteer Week and at one or more Classy Living Society volunteer efforts/program events.
